Chelsea Fernandez, the Philippines’ delegate, was among over a dozen contestants invited to attend the launch event for the 2025 Miss Cosmo pageant in Vietnam. This marks a continuation of the tradition from the inaugural pageant launch last year, where former Philippine contestant Ahtisa Manalo also participated.

Before departing for Vietnam, Fernandez expressed her enthusiasm about meeting fellow contestants and discovering more about the host country. The Miss Cosmo organizers previously stirred anticipation by asking fans to guess the host nation for the second edition. Ultimately, Vietnam was confirmed as the venue once again.

The competition is scheduled to run for three weeks, commencing in the final week of November. Delegates will arrive by November 28 and begin activities in the central cities of Hue and Lam Dong. The following week, events will move through Lam Dong, Tay Ninh, and Ho Chi Minh City in southern Vietnam.

The final week and the grand finale, described as "a beauty and musical festival," will be held in Ho Chi Minh City on December 20. The reigning Miss Cosmo, Ketut Permata Juliastrid of Indonesia, who claimed the inaugural crown last October, is set to pass on the title to her successor.

Fernandez brings valuable experience to the competition, having previously represented the Philippines at the 2022 Miss Globe pageant in Albania. There, she won the Head-to-Head challenge and advanced to the semifinals, showcasing her strong international pageant credentials.
