Decomposed Body of Unidentified Girl Found in Binalbagan River

The decomposed remains of an unidentified female child were found in a river at Sitio Nabuswang, Barangay Canmoros, in Binalbagan, Negros Occidental, around 2:00 p.m. yesterday. The Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (LDRRMO) of Binalbagan reported that the victim is believed to be between eight and twelve years old, standing approximately four feet tall. She was found wearing only plain blue underwear and gold earrings.
Officials urge anyone with information regarding a missing child matching this description to get in touch with the LDRRMO Binalbagan immediately. The child’s remains have been taken to La Funeraria Soledad located in Vista Alegre, Barangay Enclaro, Binalbagan.
Police authorities noted that the body may have been carried downstream by the river’s strong current before it was discovered.
