The Rotary Club of Bacolod Central recently held its induction and turnover ceremony for the Rotary Year 2025-2026 at the Sugarland Hotel in Bacolod City. Joselito Sion was officially sworn in as the club's 30th president, taking the oath administered by Past District Governor Nanette Garcia. The event was attended by notable figures, including District Governor Victor Federico Acepcion, District Governor-Elect Carlo dela Cruz, and several Past District Governors: Maria Ester Espina, Jude Doctora, Rafael Jocson, Enigardo Legislador, Ramiro Garcia, and Ramon Cua Locsin.
Joining Sion in leadership are Vice President Hargie Tan, Secretary Roseo Depra, Treasurer Sharon Parrocho, and directors Juliana Carbon (Club Administration), Maria Ester Espina (Membership), May Castro (Public Image), Paul Parrocho (Service Projects), and Gardenia de Erit (The Rotary Foundation). Immediate Past President Rolem Basiya also remains active as the chair of the New Generations Committee.
Additional appointments include Enigardo Legislador as Club Learning Facilitator, Lourdes Rosa Abelido as Chair of the Fundraising Committee, and Midnight Basiya leading the Fellowship Committee.
Demonstrating his commitment from the start, President Sion inducted new members Midnight Basiya and Reljun Oloroso. He also signed, on behalf of the club, the renewal of its sisterhood agreement with the Rotary Club of Makati San Lorenzo. This partnership, initially established in 2020 during the leadership of Past President Agnes Glia Mabag via virtual signing, has fostered collaboration between both clubs over the past five years.
The ceremony highlighted the continuity of Rotary's mission and strengthening of ties within the organization’s regional network.
